I've also been summoned next Thursday to show a few of my paintings to a local antiquarian who would hang up my artwork to sell!
Basically, the day ended nicely and I learned to be a bit more resilient :)
Went to a fantastic vernissage last night at the Ecomusée on Amherst and met Chris Dyer and Marc-Frédéric Tuffelli. The association that organized the show was something new here in Canada called the Art of Imagination. It's originally from the UK, but Jean Pronovost (a spectacular sculptor) is head of it here. I saw other interesting artists such as Carol Spicuzza, who made a most magical earth inside a spiral thing that spoke to me strongly of the seeds of life; Zbynek Najser whose zombie style is as creepy as it is majestic; and Richard Peralta Jimenez, who exhibited a work showing an intense contrast of concept and color through the use of sunset and telephone cables.
