Found these old watercolors while cleaning up the mess in my closet. These were made back when I was experimenting heavily with an old photocopier machine, putting a drawing through after every addition of a new watercolor layer. I really enjoyed the multi-media approach, despite the fact that the subjects are very... traditional. I also re-discovered this card. My art teacher in high school, Denise Pelletier, used to own this B&B near Charlevoix and had art getaways planned for guests in the summer. I wonder if that's still the case... I'd love to paint in that beautiful region of Quebec while enjoying the country air!

I got another artwork into a gallery! This year's FRINGE Festival is going to be awesome - the artworks will be exhibited for a full week!
Had been struggling for a few days about these flying dogs. I kept wondering what they could do without copying what Peter and Wendy did when they started flying around. This series is not a tribute to Neverland... although there's a clear link through the young kids... I guess this series is a means of escaping the rough patches of life and death where exploration and travel fill our hearts with wonder and amazement. That said, there's a new one up in the gallery! |
