I finished inking the last story of the graphic novel Nuances yesterday, including the revising. The only drawing thing left to do is to change the secondary character in the beach scene of the first part of Nuances. After that, I fix the colors, write the text, translate and format it into a book!
I met with the people who are planning a fundraiser for mental health promotion through art, and it looks like it'll be over a weekend at the end of October. The plan is to sell tickets to give a series of art workshops in which I would be responsible for the drawing/comic part of the event. There would also be dance, music, theatre and writing workshops.
I've pretty much had the go to have my book launch on December 8th, 9th or 10th at Concordia's student bar. Reggie's, who's looking to get classier, accepted my offer to help them by having a classy event! More details coming soon.
I've also had a request to be part of a future conference with another comic book artist called Sophie Labelle, organized by Concordia's Center for Gender Advocacy sometime between September and the end of the year. How exciting!
This is the last post before I go on vacation to Newfoundland. I'll be back at the end of August and happy to post about everything coming up then: the Kickstarter and mega surprise rewards, the printing, the search to distribute to bookstores and libraries, etc.
Tataa!
Tataa!
